Accomplishments

2010
Lift Greater Dayton continue to build toward a strong organization. We completed a 1000+ person listening campaign; adopted our new name, and identified our initial action agenda - jobs, education, and youth.

We also supported the Montgomery County Human Services Levy. We mobilized voters through congregational voter pledge drives, 1000's of one-on-one conversations, and neighborhood canvasses. The levy passed 70-30% and secured $60 million dollars for our social safety net.

2008
Working with sister organizations Faith Vote Columbus and Reclaim Lorain, we conducted the largest, non-partisan get out the vote campaign in Ohio. In Dayton, we engaged over 8000 voters and registered over 900 voters. Held a public assembly with Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner to ensure that every vote would count.

2006-2007

• Engaged 500 people in creating an issue agenda for the 2006 state elections.
• Secured commitments from Governor Ted Strickland, Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, and Senator Sherrod Brown on our issue agenda: Health Care, Living Wage Jobs, Retirement Security, Education, and Voting Rights.
   
• Recruited 200 volunteers for get-out-the-vote work in fall 2006, which contributed to Franklin County's record 33% increase in voter turnout.
